• Our investigation into the Rhode Island NRA uncovered serious campaign finance violations.  We filed a complaint with the Board of Elections, which forced the Rhode Island NRA PAC to shut down until they paid a $63,000 penalty, the second largest in state history.
  • Partnering with the Providence DSA, we canvassed former Speaker Gordon Fox's district, asking voters to call him to ask him to support a repeal of the voter ID law.  After our canvass, he came out in favor of a repeal.
  • As part of the Rhode Islanders United for Marriage coalition, we made phone calls, knocked on doors, and testified in front of the General Assembly.  We were proud to play a part of the movement that won this key victory.
  • In the 2012 general election, our volunteers helped get out the vote for Senator Cathie Cool Rumsey, helping her achieve her upset victory over ALEC state co-chair Frank Maher.
  • In the 2012 primary, we helped true Democrat Gayle Goldin defeat charter school lobbyist Maryellen Butke for the East Side Senate seat vacated by progressive hero Rhoda Perry.
